Message To My Fans & Readers!

Dear All & After Compliments;

Ramadhan Kareem!

Whenever I go out (which is rarely nowadays!) and in social gatherings – I get the same questions – again and again – as to when my articles in Between Us Only! series in The Oman Daily Observer will resume? Or if I had tried the other newspapers like Times of Oman and Muscat Daily? I have – but did not succeed!

I used to write for Muscat Daily a few years ago with the Column Title At My Workplace! After a series of articles – and as I was under the impression of getting payments? – they said NO to me because they thought ‘I was just volunteering for free’! Nobody gives you lunch nowadays for free – so why with my articles!

Frankly I have tried hard with The Oman Daily Observer – but the new people there (The Old Guards and The Mafias Joint Scheme) are dead set against my articles – started with a ‘technicality’ to reduce my column schedule for only one per week! I had two columns – one Between Us Only! on Sundays and At The Workplace! (Offices Related) on Wednesdays. They started by removing the columns headings – so it showed I was writing two columns under one name! I refused to reduce my columns sequences – because we had a valid written enforceable contract – and two sides must agree to any changes! This was sidelined and marginalized – because no one in his right senses and mind can sue a Governmental Newspaper – and expect any favourite results – or inadvertently consequences and repercussions per se!

See what I am saying is this!

First – The East Africans say – If someone wants to insult you – he does not need to choose his words carefully! Because anything will do (go) – because the sole purpose is ‘just to insult you’! There is also the expression that if you are a guest in a house – the host does not need to tell you to go – and you have exceeded your welcome! Body signs and mannerisms would just do the trick for you to get the signals – that it is time for you to go now!

Also the expression – if someone denies you beans (mbaazi) he only reduces your gas (mishuuzi!) – with due apologies. Forget for now – Utakioona kilicho mtoa khanga manyoya! Now you will see how the turkey lost its feathers! Like most metaphors – it means something much bigger than just literal meaning!

Second – there is nothing that I have not covered in my 13 years duration with the said newspapers! Nothing – simply put! Even taboo subjects that most writers are scared to even border – let alone touch!

Third – All my articles are in my books. You can order them directly if you wish! Even the bookshops returned my books – and one is so notorious (expatriate) to even have called me to say – Come and take your books – they are just occupying space – and NOBODY wants to buy them!

This kind of thing can ONLY happen in Oman – because we are docile people – scared stiff of certain groups of expatriates that have come to dominate, control and rule us – that we bend backwards ‘in order just to look nice and sound pleasant’! – and we all compete for places to sound nice and good to them.

Mind you the majority of the expatriates are good decent nice people – who appreciate and respect the welcome and reception given to them as ‘invited guests’ in our country! But there are a few misguided and supported by some forces internally that think and act otherwise – and these are the people that do most harm and damages – and that includes stopping their few who dare to speak shut up – so we can still control and dominate them for longer still!

Allah God Help and Protect Preserve us all – Ameen Amen!

Fourth – You can still order my books directly as here below:-

Fifth – Let me rest now! I am tired banging my head against brick walls – and making it red and bruised only! Besides, I am dead tired – and have learnt to let go of all the Excess Baggage I have been carrying for so long – and the losers is only my family and I!

I have learnt to accept my fate – and whatever will come – let it come now!

I have been known to have said so many times in the past – I told you so! But you did not listen to me! I can still say that once again – if needed to be said!

The Romans have said – Those that the gods want to destroy – they make them not see, hear or speak! Or us Arabs – There is no one so blind but with eyes – but cannot see! So deaf but with ears – but cannot hear! And so dumb – but with a mouth – but cannot speak!

A good friend (British) once advised cautioned me – if you were in Saddam Team – you would have ended shot – as the first ones too!

Let me rest now. I am now 65 – with different priorities – and the paramount now is my family – my children and grandchildren!

Please forgive me and with my due sincere and genuine apologies!

Take Care!

Ramadhan Kareem!

Majid Al Suleimany

The Need To Be Really Serious!

On 7th June 2014 by Allah God Blessing I became 65 years old! Allah God Is Merciful! Allah Is Compassionate! Ameen Amen

A very good Indian friend of mine called me to wish me birthday greetings and to talk about the advertisement I had put in the newspapers as below –

Omani HR Management Consultant Expert Advisor UK educated and trained retired PDO 25 years experiences all aspects HR Training Development Omanisation etc. looking for temporary job 8 to 1 pm or Project work majid@majidsuleimany.com

Typically, he asked me if anyone from his company had contacted me – because being in Management – he knew that they were looking for a full time experienced HR Professional (Omani) but have still not found one that was meeting their requirements and expectations! He wondered aloud with me as ‘to why they did not grab this opportunity’ being thrown at them? I said I would not do – but he should know better as he was working for the Company – and he was in Management himself!

Frankly, I have received some offers that included:-

  • Selling Life and Insurance policies.
  • Logistics (Temporary job) related.
  • Sort of Senior PRO job (Temporary) – You have driving license Omani?
  • Customs Clearances job!
  • Other jobs not related to Human Resources
  • Petty offers for real HR jobs that they will not even pay lower end Visiting Consultants and Experts – but can be offered to Omanis – by fellow Top Omanis Owners, Managers – and also Expatriate ones too!

Nothing has changed much on the ground – and the mindsets have remained unmovable and unchanged – despite changes all around them – and all the rhetoric and façade of pushing Human Resources, Training and Development, Omani Recruitment and in Omanisation aspects!

As a LinkedIn member, I get so many requests from young Omanis for connections – ‘Looking For A Job’! My heart breaks out and burns when I look at their profiles and I find that many are educated and qualified – but lack work experiences! Still yet no one has come forward to offer them a break or an opportunity! I know of certainty of my niece educated and trained in Oman in a Omani College with Omani Credentials and Qualifications in Human Resources – two years down the line – with No Job Offer – despite HR being the rage – and most talked after subject – even before SMEs and Self Employment per se!

Many of them have had their families educate and train them – or now have to pay back Educational Assistance loans that they have taken from the Banks – which places a heavy burden on their families – causing rifts and strife at home – even bordering domestic violence syndromes! Some have lived very difficult and hard lives – in order to survive in teaching and educating their children! Some have even sold their villas and extra cars in order to improvise and survive – with no let out or light at the end of the tunnel! With family strife – and breaking up of the families – and their youngsters jobless wandering off ‘to lost give up ways’ – bad company, drugs and violence trends!

Every day I look at the newspapers – and find adverts from ‘Visiting Oman’ Applicants looking for a job – many of them highly qualified and experienced – and who are ready to accept far low packages offer ‘if they work at home’ – or not formally linked to the employing companies!

The bitter truth is that many of the General Managers and CEOs are Expatriate controlled – and even the few ones by locals are by The Old Guards that prefer ‘no rocking of the boat’ – and want expatriates under them so they can ‘control them’. Similarly the Expatriate ones want meek docile not strong characters Omanis under them – more as a window shopping exercise – and for façade, showoff and rhetoric mainly!

That is why they prefer to promote ex HES, PRO and Admin Clerks as HR Managers – so they can do their bidding – and can agree to be controlled – both by The Expatriate Mafia = and The Weak distrusting Old Guards – that simply do not value our own – and like I always say in my writings – like that General that ‘shoots at his own troops’ or ‘friendly fire’ in military terms! Forget about ‘collateral damage’ for a change!

How long can these things go on before the cinder fire burning heatedly deep inside explodes?

Yet we see all around the havoc and destructions live on Television – from neighbouring countries to far – some brewing internally – and some already on the surface – starting from a minor thing like 20 students graffiti to ‘destruction of the whole country’ – to farcial elections of new leaderships in failing environments – with more to come still?

Like the Arabs say too – No one is deaf but with ears but cannot hear – blind with eyes but cannot see – and with a mouth but cannot speak! Or allow others to speak! Or as The Romans say – Those that the gods want to destroy – they make them not hear, see or speak!

If things can be done to Senior Qualified Experienced Omanis – even in High Places – that should know better – and lead by examples – away from repeating things in rhetoric and façade – acts and pretenses – like in Animal Farm by George Orwell – the Fundamental and Big Question to ask here is –

How can the Young Omani fare in The Private Sector with everything working against him all around!

You be The Judge – and You Answer The Question!

No wonder they wanted to Kill off my columns as soon as they could!.

This is My Last Call! I am really – really – really tired banging my head against brick walls – and making it swollen and red only – and The Real Loser – again and again – is me personally and my direct family only!

We Need to Be Really Serious – before it is too late for everyone – and we lost that thing that we dearly loved and valued – by not preserving it – letting it grow and prosper – by our selfishness, bad hearts and intentions – by polarization – and failing to  –

Stand as One! Under One Flag – One Nation – One HM!

Destroying all his Great Works – and failing to appreciate and value his personal sacrifices – that has made us today hold our heads high with dignity, respect and esteem!

May Allah God Direct us all to The Straight Path and Way – Ameen Amen

I did not put any pictures – because ALL THESE THINGS I HAVE SAID BEFORE!

THIS IS MY LAST CALL!

Rewind! Need For A National Service Force!

Need For A National Service Force!

I am watching this Television News coverage of a father in Turkey who is very proud of his son who is by his side and who is curtailing his further studies in University in order to join the Turkish Army to fight for his homeland with the perceived threat from The PKK – The Kurdish Workers Fighters – who are demanding for a separate home land or more autonomy; depending on your point of view. The Reporter makes a statement that the Turkish youngsters are all interested to join the Eastern flank where there are frontline activities with the PKK, rather than the Northern flank where there is no activity of any kind.

Apart from the sad and tragic fact that a supposedly majority Islamic army (be it secular in outlook and focus per se) is fighting a supposedly rebellious Islamic fighter force (something that seems to be now regular in other countries too), what else gives? Nothing new or strange here. We do not know what will happen next if Turkey will go ahead and attack North Iraq (Kurdistan), but we sure know now that Pakistan has declared a State of Emergency!

If you look at the Israeli Army, a population of less than 4 million peoples is able to put at bay larger Army population of several Arab countries. Forgetting for a moment that they are fully backed by The Western World, and even discreetly by even countries like Russia and The ex Eastern block countries (and some other countries of The rest of the world too for that matter); it raises a paramount fundamental question of how and why this is possible. Forgetting also the valid pertinent point that when you fight to defend your homeland, than the person who is attacking or maybe perceived to be attacking you for that matter.

If you look at our young Arab youth, and is not fair to assume, generalize and stereo type – but you will find that they are looking for quick gains, results and achievements at the shortest of time available and at minimum exertion, efforts and input too. Send some graduate for a professional course and he comes back saying he is now experienced and needs more power, authority and promotion.

I have interviewed in my career time graduates in some places, and they are all interested in what perks and facilities that they will get, instead of what inputs, efforts and drive they will have to put in before they can be respected, recognised and to be acknowledged. I am talking here generally – let me make myself very crystal clear. Youth are youth – I fully agree – whether Arab or Jewish! No dispute here. And true as human beings we tend to criticize and analyse more those we know better than those we do not know. The maxim ‘Familiarity breeds contempt’ did not just come out from the blue!

For all fits and purposes, the young Jewish graduates may not be any different from the Arab one per se! No one amongst us can know or tell. But how many Arab youths have you seen that would volunteer to join a regular Arab Army and go and fight and die for a national cause? Forget for a moment the suicide bombers, who have been twisted their frames of minds and thoughts to kill, maim and murder innocent victims like children queuing up for chocolates and sweets, even if those sweets are from the ‘enemy’?. Or people looking for a job to feed their families are blown up into pieces. Or trying to sell or buy items in the market, or board a bus for whatever reason.

These are wasted and destroyed resources that could have been used and been utilized better, than such wastages, destruction and uselessness. The enemy is not your own brother or sister, even if he or she acts different from you or believes slightly different from you. There is a bigger cause and fight to be made, and not in this way. The enemy is the person who has invaded and occupied your country, not the one who is just hapless and innocent impotent person like that you are, though you have twisted minds and frames not to realize this. You are killing and wiping off the very same person who is against like you are, or striving to live and be as best as he can.

I have studied hard on my own the incidents of the 6 day war in 1967. I studied hard the one in 1973. I studied hard the invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein. And I studied hard the invasion of Iraq by flimsy excuse and reasons of WMD – which up to day are missing. What should wake us all up is the fight and resistance put up by the Lebanese Hezbollah youth in the South against a regular Army force – the most powerful and most feared power force in The Middle East today – The Israeli army!

Let us forget for a minute whether we support or not their philosophies or outlook. They and Hamas and the Iranian youth. Like them or hate them, it does not matter. Even for them for that matter. They too have not forgotten the expression of ‘finish off the job’ to bring them down under control, ridicule, ruin and or reduce their areas of influence and control. Not all the things they did could be supported or cordoned, like sending off missiles blindly and inadvertently and unfortunately killing off and maiming Arab residents, be that they are Israeli Arabs or not.

What am I talking about here? I am talking about the readiness and willingness of Arab youth to be ready and fight for their countries, whether under direct threat or perceived threat. Look at Iran being under threat from powerful nuclear powers, but are not scared or afraid. You may like to call it obstinacy or whatever else. Like my late grandfather used to say – the child cries for a blade or a match box, do not deny him. He will cut or burn himself, which is the way they will learn!

Did we learn before in 1967? In 1973? Even lately cases like Kuwait invasion? Like Iraq invasion? No, we still are defiant and obstinate. We still use threats and defiant languages. We will stand our grounds, stay and fight – we say loud and clear. Necessity is the mother of invention, as the Kuwaiti youths found out to defend their homeland from Saddam army.

Let us try to learn from the enemy. What is it that they are doing that makes them fight, stand their grounds and gets them protected and preserved? It is the National Service that they have. All youth and of graduates and higher education joining the regular army for some years. They get trained and fight alongside the regular army. They become disciplined, cultured and matured by such training. And they become a recognizable and acknowledged force that can tackle almost everything on their own.

When they finish their compulsory military training, they return to civilian lives, but at a press of button can resort back to a reserved recognizable and acknowledged fighting force, to be respected and even feared too. Some of the Arab countries have such National Services. But I do not know I have to admit how it works. I know of a fact only that some Arab students I studied with in UK failed their examinations purposely and willingly – because they did not want to return home to join their National Service, and leave behind their British girlfriends and the UK way of life!

There are some counties in Africa who had copied the Israeli model. They join the regular army for 9 months, and go to work in civilian lives but still wearing the National Service uniforms for 2 years. Then they go for a pass out parade for one month, and become reserve forces. Some may even like the Army life, and look for a future in The Armed Forces or The Police. One sure way to reduce unemployment, and get more highly educated and trained youth in the military forces!

We can start the whole process by a Volunteer force, but we may need to encourage more to come by making it more attractive and enticing to join. When our enemies realize that we have youth in the populace that are disciplined, trained and ready to fight and die for the motherland, they will think twice if not thrice before trying to take advantage of us! It will no doubt instill respect, esteem, culture and values of society if the military training will include these subjects in the curriculum.

All the training must be accompanied with the right religious, social and national indoctrination in order to make the youth be away from wrong mind concepts and being hijacked and controlled wrongly in thoughts and mind by miscreants and ‘lost peoples’.. The National Service should include the women too, who can have their own forces separate from men, in line with our values, culture, heritage and customs.

An idea to seriously think about and consider, I should think??

Thoughts and views most welcome!

N.B. The article was written on November 7th 2007 and was rejected by the newspaper – The Oman Daily Observer – as too ‘political cum radical’!

Today UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are planning for A National Service for its citizens!

PDO Talents Day

A         What Has Been Happening So Far!

It has been a long while since I wrote anything in the format of an article for my websites – and as you know my two columns in The Oman Daily Observer took a natural death metaphorically by the wrong prescriptions of drugs and medicines to a slowly dying cancer victim! Sometimes the end comes quicker than expected after remission even – or when the patient was thought to be recovering by a new doctor – who turned out to be even worse than the previous doctors looking after the sick ailing patient – and ‘kicking the bucket’ for all to see!

Of course, with great cheers and happiness from some quarters determined and for some intentional wanting and willing for the columns to end! And yet still with some still craving for some more articles to come out – and a sort of relief that though the columns have ended in the said paper since November 2013 – see here –   – but ‘sort of relieved’ that I was still posting in my websites my articles – mainly in www.majidall.comwww.majidwrite.com – and opinions and views on www.majidsn.com . This apart of my books in www.myownmajid.comwww.myown-ebooks.com and www.majidbooks.com Plus the new websites for Short Takes (Stories) with mainly Omani theme at my new website at www.myshorttakes.com – and the Road Safety website at www.bethesafedriver.com

One can safely say that with all these websites belonging to me – and recently being that active in the Social Media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Whats’ Up etc. – the losers are more the newspaper than me – because if there are still followers and fans out there they can still follow me! There are of course those that bought the newspaper only on the days that my articles would appear because they read more Arabic newspapers – and now will not be doing so! And those fans that may be inclined not to buy the newspaper anymore – because my articles no longer appear!

On 12th of May 2014 – there was a PDO Talents Day – and due to the New Management style now in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) – I was invited to display my books by the External Affairs Department – EAD – under Engineer Abdul Ameir Al Ajmi and through the leadership and guidance of Raoul Restucci – the good man! With a new openness, foresight and pragmatism – of bringing in more fairness, ethics, principles, professionalism all around in the company – its modus operandi and its environment!

Trust me in saying this but I had carried a lot of Excess Baggage and past bad memories and recriminations with me – and with exceptions of going to the PDO Clinic as ‘wife’ to my working wife still there – just avoided the place – until I got the call that they were translating my book (and for publishing few copies) of my Road Safety Books – Being The Safe Driver! – www.createspace.com/4097374 and Behind The Wheel! – www.createspace.com/4655681 – and more after being invited formally to present my books to the VIPS (Dr.Rumhy and Dr. Sunaidy etc) and as belonging to The PDO Family!

This bit made me feel so ashamed and so bad – and I cried in my heart and with a few tears out! Just shows that if you treat people right and ethical – they may surprise you with what they can deliver! And that is Raoul for you as the new man at the helm in PDO!

In all my mind, I had never thought or imagined that I would be welcomed in into this new great Office building – and display my books! I only visualized how I even was always finding excuses not to drop Madam Wife at the office – because of the heartache and pain inside me – mainly attributed by my mentality of not wanting to forget! And unnecessarily carrying so much Excess Baggage with me! See this – http://majidall.com/as-to-why-i-had-left-my-last-oil-company-loc/ and this one – http://majidwrite.com/2013/09/18/a-letter-to-my-heart-by-majid-al-suleimany/

The turning point for me was when HE Dr. Rumhy told Dr. Sunaidy (HE Ministry of Commerce and Industries) that ‘this is his book that he got an award in USA’ – Psychology of Arab Management Thinking! – USA Gold Seal Literary Excellence Award 2013 – and he himself being USA educated – and during those times when I looked after Overseas Training in PDO – as the only sole man in charge! Of USA Dollars 18 million per year – and thank God and my upbringing – never took even a Baiza that did not belong to me! God Is Great! God Is Merciful!

Yukon 1

B         So What Else Is New?

Frankly I had imagined that I would die with my Toyota Camry banger – 8 years old – and gone to 190,000 kms – but the surprise was mine when I still got 2300 OMR for it in exchange of a new GMC Yukon! Those who remember my case will remember how bad I felt in losing my Dodge Durango and my daughter Majda took it over from me! The surprise was all mine when I was now able to get this Yukon instead – incidentally also silver coloured! My favourite colours have been blue, silver, gold and white for my cars in my life!

I have also been chatting with my 5 months old granddaughter Sibel bint Fahad on Modi and The Indian Elections – and other issues – and I do not know what babies’ minds think – but I guess baby had to smile and glee to please granddad as if she knew what I was taking to her about! You would imagine she was apt to understand with her mother Oman born but Pakistani too!

As the good wife was heard to ruefully acclaim – I think you are losing your faculties and mind – by talking to baby on such grand big issues – but the irony was that when granny wanted to take baby out of the ‘hearing scene equation’ – baby cried to be back with grandfather! I guess one day she too will be a great author and writer too – if not going into politics instead! Sic!

C         Okay – So What About The Topic You Started? Remember? Being Positive At Work?

Yes we know M – you have the knack of taking your time to come to the point! Perhaps that infuriated some of them – especially the new man? Or as they say – you take your Reader up to the bridge – and let himself decide whether to cross the bridge – or return? That we know of you M!

D         Being Positive At Work!

You know this thing had made me so raving made that I decided to post in the newspaper as below – in the hope that this place especially would be interested – and I can give them ‘a piece of my mind’ in the hope of changing ‘fixed mind sets’ – like Ghandi had said – I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps and EinsteinA problem cannot be solved by the same level of mind that created it!

The advertisement ran – MBA Omani HR Management Consultant Expert Advisor UK educated and trained Early Retired PDO 25 years experiences in all aspects of HR Training Development Omanisation etc. looking for temporary part time job 8 to 1 pm or Project work majid@majidsuleimany.com – Muscat Daily this week!.

What Happened?

I needed some personal services at a certain prestigious famous place! The first case was just for a copy of an original document that had been given to me! I had the copy – the place I had approached before in the services needed the original resubmitted. So I went to the place. The good man at the other end insisted on me to reapply from scratch again! I knew this process would take a long time and was tiresome! So I asked him whom I can go to get a replacement Original Copy – The Usual To Whom It May Concern Letter!

Frankly I do not know why this public place needed again the same letter I had given to them before – with the usual excuse ‘we could not find the original in your file’ – or just lazy and incompetent not to be bothered to go and look!

So the good man gave me a contact in the Head Offices – and when I called her she told me – come and collect it anytime you are ready to collect – or can send to your branch (or any other branch for that matter!). In actual fact your Branch can give you this letter!

So I went back to the man – and passed on what I was just told! Again at a professional place – the man said – this is not our job – but the Head Offices only! You have to go there to collect it!

I was contemplating to do this – when a brain wave struck me – to go to another Branch to get the letter – and the Incharge gave me the same required letter within 10 minutes with reference to the copy at hand!

I had another issue of the same place. This time I went to The Manager! The good lady said to me – Yes it can be done! But unfortunately she sent me to the same person like before! I knew it! He said – It cannot be done this way! This time I got angry – and told him off!

Anyway, he still won in the end – by doing some changes to what I had originally wanted! Though in a way you can say almost fully done!

Now you see why I was raving mad!

Do you see the difference?

One is a negative mind that sees everything as a problem and difficult – whilst the other was POSITIVE and pragmatic – that sees a solution in almost everything requested of them!

Some people will never change – they take sadistic pleasure to make things difficult for customers – even if in a Public or Professional place for that matter!

Like I cynically and skeptically always say – What else is new? Things have not changed much – at least since I had stopped writing my columns!

The mind just boggles – could that be a reason my articles died? That I open my mouth too much to speak my mind? You be The Judge!

And a Personal Message to the Newspaper – this too applies here! Learning to let go!

God Is Great! Just put a Google Search on “Majid Al Suleimany” and see what you can get! That is it – it speaks volumes on this Editor, Author and (ex) Columnist!

He looks Omani???

We have done it once again!

I was checking with my Book Distributor in Oman Family Bookshops if there were any demands from The Organisers of The Fair for any of my books – and they responded negatively!

What else is new?

We make great attempts to show constructive pragmatic National feelings to promote National Worthy causes – but by subjective and narrow minded approaches (polarization even!) we single out those we do not want to involve – yet have the courage, guts and the audacity to put in The National Press and Media such events and singling out those we want to omit not to be shown their products in such fairs!

If the purpose is to encourage Omani Children to imbed the habit of reading there is no better example than to see books authored and written by local Omanis – and see their photos at the back of the book!

Unless of course is only for Expatriate Children – then I guess it would be okay to miss out Omani Authors.

I am one of the Few Omani Authors and Writers with 10 Ten books – http://www.myownmajid.com and even interviewed in Oman FM Radio more than three times in different occasions by different people = please see below as sample.

Unfortunately we in Oman will always remain THE TAIL of The GCC because of our inward marginalized subjective polarized outlooks – supported by The Mafias and The Old Guards!

ALLAH KAREEM! GOD IS GREAT! AT LEAST ALLAH IS THERE FOR POOR PEOPLE LIKE US WITHOUT WASTAH!

Things Turning Bad Now!

cropped-cropped-2-buo-st-231.png  Never Give Up A  A - A Cry For Help! 1 - Wipe My Tears

People have told me that I have very good perception and observation skills and prowess and it shows even in my articles! Things that people have clearly seen but just not noticed – or simply ignored!

Despite the fact that Modi has not yet been declared winner of the Indian elections. his supporters and followers in our lands have started ‘tightening up the screws’ in his services – and like I have always said in my columns –

Biting the hand that feeds you – and ending licking the boot that will kick you out!

Proved right and correct in many instances and examples!

It starts to show in the articles and features in the especially English Newspapers – where the majority of their editing team are Foreigners – with just in name the locals as top guys – but all the shows are being done by the Mafias and supporting from inside and outside by The Old Guards!

An illustrative example was yesterday where I had gone to this Exchange House in Ruwi and this Indian guy was taking his time to pay me! My good sister had sent some money from UAE to help the family for the recent wedding of my daughter recently!

He was going about checking things and it went on for more than 10 minutes! It takes only 3 minutes for receiving payments from customers – let it be said!

Then he gave my papers to one young Omani boy to check on the Computer Records as if we were in a Public Place and as if I was receiving money from Al Qaeda or Laundry money! I am not that cheap anyway – at least for this amount of money sent!

I was getting angier and angier all the moments – until I burst out – When you have to pay to customers you take all your time – but receiving money? It is all different!

Incidentally they found simpy nothing IN MY RECORDS to stop me being paid!

Ali Baba’s List! Of thieves and muggers!

The Exchange Houses are supposedly owned by Locals here and in UAE – why do they employ these kind of peoples treating us like this – as if we are the strangers and they are the owners of the land? 😦

How long will these things go on before they explode in our faces? A cinder fire that is burning intensely underneath – till it spurts out with intensity, venom and disaster?

Last week at a place I worked as a HR Consultant this Omani Senior Person (!) wanted to go to the Ministry of Manpower to complain about her Indian boss who has recently turned more nasty towards her as his Assistant – and despite complaining to HR and GM (both Omanis) nothing has changed – from my famous expression always – Do not rock the boat! Even if your Omani Staff are suffering – and so long as you are okay! Sic! Double Sic! 😦 😦

I understand now why THEY Killed My Articles in my columnsbut thanks to the Social Mediathey cannot keep some of us down!

Our mistake for being so receptive, respecting and welcoming – and disunited, polarized and docile too! 😦 😦 😦

They cannot control and dominate Us! Because we speak our minds – and do not push the dirt under the carpet!

ALLAH KAREEM! GOD IS GREAT! ALR x 1000 times!

Sad and tragic!

Oman – Please Do Not Cry For Me Anymore Now!

How Oman Has Changed In Its Ways!

Buying a car on Hire Purchase at age of 55 plus? Think Again!

Pontiac Bonneville Yukon 1 Yukon

A long time ago I walked into this car showroom in Ruwi and saw this beautiful car and immediately fell in love with it! It was the Pontiac Bonneville – now no longer made!

There was this nice old Oman man and he called me over and asked me if I liked the car? Maybe he saw me the way I was looking at it? I told him Yes – but will come in two months time to see what I could do! He asked me my name – and he recognized my father as one he did business with – and wanted to meet him if possible?

A few days later they met embraced and cried together – remembering the old days. By this time I had been given the car already – and the poor kind hearted man – Allah Rest his soul in eternal peace in this world and the next – and open the doors for the highest heavens for him – Ameen – he took money from his own dishdasha to pay for Registration. My family were shocked to see me with the new car!

Yesterday in the same business house they wanted a Guarantor for the GMC Yukon and though provided yet was still turned down! Why? Because I am over 55 and have No Wastah!

How times change! The difference of course having an expatriate (Indian) GM who calls All The Shots! And he remembered my Columns and my articles! Even though those too are now dead! With a new man calling all the shots! Conditions after conditions were set just to make things difficult and more difficult. Famous style well known of finding formality to just say NO purposefully and willfully!

Even the Banks etc. think that you can drop dead at any minute! Thus it is better if you go to the Saih Dhabi funeral grounds and just wait for your turn to kick the bucket!

Though I have seen so many higher brackets younger ones going fast – and some sadly as Road Casualties! But no problem! I have seen cars with green plate numbers (test drive new) also meet with tragic fatalities!

There are those in Top positions who have lots of financial issues – but easily and fast given the loans!

Did you know that even the so-called Islamic Banks also think just the same? Even the new completely Fresh Ones for that matter! So where is the Islam part here?

I could live to 102 years old – and that young man at 35 die just tomorrow! Only Allah God Knows these secrets! Not us human beings! Certainly Not Financial Houses – many run by Non Omanis Non Believers too! Even if Omani and Believers too!

It is all so confusing and complexing!
