About The Book!

Goodbye; Between Us Only!

 They Will Not Publish This!

This book is the 10th book in The Series – Between Us Only! And my 20th book so far.

In order to expedite the book publishing process, minimal images are going to be inserted.

Paramount importance is to get all my articles Post last Between Us Only1 series – Wipe My Tears! The book was published in June 2013 – all intended to put all my books in one place for further references and for record purposes!

I have also included all those articles after end of my columns mainly based on ‘a Technicality’ designed to stop and to end my columns.

I was keeping to myself and trying to avoid conflict – but still people were after me! So I decided to accept the challenge – and write and record this book as the last of my columns writings for future records and references.

No one can kill the spirit, soul and heart of a Writer – because so long as a Writer will live he will not stop writing!

As Jules Renard had said – No one considers a Writer as ridiculous – even if he does not make any money! So there! Besides, I had posted this in all The Social Media – November 13, 2014

Why are we so set against each other? We will support The Foreigner and The Expatriate but not esteem and value our own! We do not have trust and confidence on our own! It is part of this great CURSE Jealousy, Envy and Bad Hearts within us! Bad unfeeling uncaring hearts inside some of us only! Pure evil-like just as is ISIL!

  • It takes only one person to destroy the works that took so many others so many years to build – and we never learn until it is too late!
  • Do Not Cry It Is Over! Be Happy That It Has Happened!

PDO Talents Day

A         What Has Been Happening So Far!

It has been a long while since I wrote anything in the format of an article for my websites – and as you know my two columns in The Oman Daily Observer took a natural death metaphorically by the wrong prescriptions of drugs and medicines to a slowly dying cancer victim! Sometimes the end comes quicker than expected after remission even – or when the patient was thought to be recovering by a new doctor – who turned out to be even worse than the previous doctors looking after the sick ailing patient – and ‘kicking the bucket’ for all to see!

Of course, with great cheers and happiness from some quarters determined and for some intentional wanting and willing for the columns to end! And yet still with some still craving for some more articles to come out – and a sort of relief that though the columns have ended in the said paper since November 2013 – see here –   – but ‘sort of relieved’ that I was still posting in my websites my articles – mainly in www.majidall.comwww.majidwrite.com – and opinions and views on www.majidsn.com . This apart of my books in www.myownmajid.comwww.myown-ebooks.com and www.majidbooks.com Plus the new websites for Short Takes (Stories) with mainly Omani theme at my new website at www.myshorttakes.com – and the Road Safety website at www.bethesafedriver.com

One can safely say that with all these websites belonging to me – and recently being that active in the Social Media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Whats’ Up etc. – the losers are more the newspaper than me – because if there are still followers and fans out there they can still follow me! There are of course those that bought the newspaper only on the days that my articles would appear because they read more Arabic newspapers – and now will not be doing so! And those fans that may be inclined not to buy the newspaper anymore – because my articles no longer appear!

On 12th of May 2014 – there was a PDO Talents Day – and due to the New Management style now in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) – I was invited to display my books by the External Affairs Department – EAD – under Engineer Abdul Ameir Al Ajmi and through the leadership and guidance of Raoul Restucci – the good man! With a new openness, foresight and pragmatism – of bringing in more fairness, ethics, principles, professionalism all around in the company – its modus operandi and its environment!

Trust me in saying this but I had carried a lot of Excess Baggage and past bad memories and recriminations with me – and with exceptions of going to the PDO Clinic as ‘wife’ to my working wife still there – just avoided the place – until I got the call that they were translating my book (and for publishing few copies) of my Road Safety Books – Being The Safe Driver! – www.createspace.com/4097374 and Behind The Wheel! – www.createspace.com/4655681 – and more after being invited formally to present my books to the VIPS (Dr.Rumhy and Dr. Sunaidy etc) and as belonging to The PDO Family!

This bit made me feel so ashamed and so bad – and I cried in my heart and with a few tears out! Just shows that if you treat people right and ethical – they may surprise you with what they can deliver! And that is Raoul for you as the new man at the helm in PDO!

In all my mind, I had never thought or imagined that I would be welcomed in into this new great Office building – and display my books! I only visualized how I even was always finding excuses not to drop Madam Wife at the office – because of the heartache and pain inside me – mainly attributed by my mentality of not wanting to forget! And unnecessarily carrying so much Excess Baggage with me! See this – http://majidall.com/as-to-why-i-had-left-my-last-oil-company-loc/ and this one – http://majidwrite.com/2013/09/18/a-letter-to-my-heart-by-majid-al-suleimany/

The turning point for me was when HE Dr. Rumhy told Dr. Sunaidy (HE Ministry of Commerce and Industries) that ‘this is his book that he got an award in USA’ – Psychology of Arab Management Thinking! – USA Gold Seal Literary Excellence Award 2013 – and he himself being USA educated – and during those times when I looked after Overseas Training in PDO – as the only sole man in charge! Of USA Dollars 18 million per year – and thank God and my upbringing – never took even a Baiza that did not belong to me! God Is Great! God Is Merciful!

B         So What Else Is New?

Frankly I had imagined that I would die with my Toyota Camry banger – 8 years old – and gone to 190,000 kms – but the surprise was mine when I still got 2300 OMR for it in exchange of a new GMC Yukon! Those who remember my case will remember how bad I felt in losing my Dodge Durango and my daughter Majda took it over from me! The surprise was all mine when I was now able to get this Yukon instead – incidentally also silver coloured! My favourite colours have been blue, silver, gold and white for my cars in my life!

I have also been chatting with my 5 months old granddaughter Sibel bint Fahad on Modi and The Indian Elections – and other issues – and I do not know what babies’ minds think – but I guess baby had to smile and glee to please granddad as if she knew what I was taking to her about! You would imagine she was apt to understand with her mother Oman born but Pakistani too!

As the good wife was heard to ruefully acclaim – I think you are losing your faculties and mind – by talking to baby on such grand big issues – but the irony was that when granny wanted to take baby out of the ‘hearing scene equation’ – baby cried to be back with grandfather! I guess one day she too will be a great author and writer too – if not going into politics instead! Sic!

C         Okay – So What About The Topic You Started? Remember? Being Positive At Work?

Yes we know M – you have the knack of taking your time to come to the point! Perhaps that infuriated some of them – especially the new man? Or as they say – you take your Reader up to the bridge – and let himself decide whether to cross the bridge – or return? That we know of you M!

D         Being Positive At Work!

You know this thing had made me so raving made that I decided to post in the newspaper as below – in the hope that this place especially would be interested – and I can give them ‘a piece of my mind’ in the hope of changing ‘fixed mind sets’ – like Ghandi had said – I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps and EinsteinA problem cannot be solved by the same level of mind that created it!

The advertisement ran – MBA Omani HR Management Consultant Expert Advisor UK educated and trained Early Retired PDO 25 years experiences in all aspects of HR Training Development Omanisation etc. looking for temporary part time job 8 to 1 pm or Project work majid@majidsuleimany.com – Muscat Daily this week!.

What Happened?

I needed some personal services at a certain prestigious famous place! The first case was just for a copy of an original document that had been given to me! I had the copy – the place I had approached before in the services needed the original resubmitted. So I went to the place. The good man at the other end insisted on me to reapply from scratch again! I knew this process would take a long time and was tiresome! So I asked him whom I can go to get a replacement Original Copy – The Usual To Whom It May Concern Letter!

Frankly I do not know why this public place needed again the same letter I had given to them before – with the usual excuse ‘we could not find the original in your file’ – or just lazy and incompetent not to be bothered to go and look!

So the good man gave me a contact in the Head Offices – and when I called her she told me – come and collect it anytime you are ready to collect – or can send to your branch (or any other branch for that matter!). In actual fact your Branch can give you this letter!

So I went back to the man – and passed on what I was just told! Again at a professional place – the man said – this is not our job – but the Head Offices only! You have to go there to collect it!

I was contemplating to do this – when a brain wave struck me – to go to another Branch to get the letter – and the Incharge gave me the same required letter within 10 minutes with reference to the copy at hand!

I had another issue of the same place. This time I went to The Manager! The good lady said to me – Yes it can be done! But unfortunately she sent me to the same person like before! I knew it! He said – It cannot be done this way! This time I got angry – and told him off!

Anyway, he still won in the end – by doing some changes to what I had originally wanted! Though in a way you can say almost fully done!

Now you see why I was raving mad!

Do you see the difference?

One is a negative mind that sees everything as a problem and difficult – whilst the other was POSITIVE and pragmatic – that sees a solution in almost everything requested of them!

Some people will never change – they take sadistic pleasure to make things difficult for customers – even if in a Public or Professional place for that matter!

Like I cynically and skeptically always say – What else is new? Things have not changed much – at least since I had stopped writing my columns!

The mind just boggles – could that be a reason my articles died? That I open my mouth too much to speak my mind? You be The Judge!

And a Personal Message to the Newspaper – this too applies here! Learning to let go!

God Is Great! Just put a Google Search on “Majid Al Suleimany” and see what you can get! That is it – it speaks volumes on this Editor, Author and (ex) Columnist!

How Oman Has Changed In Its Ways!

Buying a car on Hire Purchase at age of 55 plus? Think Again!

Pontiac Bonneville Yukon 1 Yukon

A long time ago I walked into this car showroom in Ruwi and saw this beautiful car and immediately fell in love with it! It was the Pontiac Bonneville – now no longer made!

There was this nice old Oman man and he called me over and asked me if I liked the car? Maybe he saw me the way I was looking at it? I told him Yes – but will come in two months time to see what I could do! He asked me my name – and he recognized my father as one he did business with – and wanted to meet him if possible?

A few days later they met embraced and cried together – remembering the old days. By this time I had been given the car already – and the poor kind hearted man – Allah Rest his soul in eternal peace in this world and the next – and open the doors for the highest heavens for him – Ameen – he took money from his own dishdasha to pay for Registration. My family were shocked to see me with the new car!

Yesterday in the same business house they wanted a Guarantor for the GMC Yukon and though provided yet was still turned down! Why? Because I am over 55 and have No Wastah!

How times change! The difference of course having an expatriate (Indian) GM who calls All The Shots! And he remembered my Columns and my articles! Even though those too are now dead! With a new man calling all the shots! Conditions after conditions were set just to make things difficult and more difficult. Famous style well known of finding formality to just say NO purposefully and willfully!

Even the Banks etc. think that you can drop dead at any minute! Thus it is better if you go to the Saih Dhabi funeral grounds and just wait for your turn to kick the bucket!

Though I have seen so many higher brackets younger ones going fast – and some sadly as Road Casualties! But no problem! I have seen cars with green plate numbers (test drive new) also meet with tragic fatalities!

There are those in Top positions who have lots of financial issues – but easily and fast given the loans!

Did you know that even the so-called Islamic Banks also think just the same? Even the new completely Fresh Ones for that matter! So where is the Islam part here?

I could live to 102 years old – and that young man at 35 die just tomorrow! Only Allah God Knows these secrets! Not us human beings! Certainly Not Financial Houses – many run by Non Omanis Non Believers too! Even if Omani and Believers too!

It is all so confusing and complexing!

Reactions Received – My Letter To The Newspaper!

Fan (Omani) – I think your reaction to the newspaper was to the point. My only advice is that don’t allow the other party to get the best of you. Don’t sound emotional. Just give them your piece of mind and move on..

Lady Fan (Omani)  – Well , its one’s duty to speak up when things don’t go well, if I were you I would have kept quiet cause its just like talking to a wall. Its not heard and nobody cares. Its just losing ur face over and over again and nobody cares. I will never agree with you the way you humiliate ur self. You are a talented man you deserve the best of the respect. Be calm Majid it won’t harm you and Allah sees everything. Be patient. If one door closes the other will open. Believe me.

Fan (Omani) – Spot on. I think there is a lot of hypocrisy in our society. You call a spade a spade and that’s quite admirable. Very few people have the guts to go openly public in expressing a critical opinion. Did you get any response?

From A Dr. Phd – Dr. Faris Al Hajri – See Comments Here

Dear Mr Majid, We strongly support your endeavor. Remember, the best writers, noble people, celebrities, scientists, etc, were at first neglected by their own people; that is in West during the past centuries. But; today it all changed. So keep up, never give up, you’re a very great writer, never let any negative people or pessimistic people put you down, the most you succeed, the more their feel ashamed of their wrong acts.

Finally, the Universe will respond to you abundantly. Keep up with those who are attracted by you, keep some distance to those who neglect you.

Keep looking at your achievements most whenever you get upset of a specific incident. You’re great in the eyes of many who deserve to see your smiles.  Cheers!!!

Senior Omani Professional  – I admire your guts and in your sincerity to want to make changes in things before they go really bad!

Some others too ‘personal’ to include here – but equally good (or have requested anonymity) !

Dear All & After Compliments;

Reference several posts here and at http://www.majidall.com   and http://www.majidwrite.com  concerning ending of my columns – I was able to create this website http://www.myshorttakes.com – after decline of the ‘requested Short Story’ – No Money For The Crayons for The Weekend Magazine!

As a result, my two weekly columns were killed off!

Frankly, if even the payments were regular, they amounted to OMR 300 Three Hundred a month for 9 to 10 columns a month.

Now with my websites added in, I do not have to suffer the absurd omissions of my columns – and the editing that went with some to unbelievable ridiculous proportions that even the gist of intended meaning and purpose got lost in the process.

True I have lost the monthly stipend – but I now no longer have to suffer the humiliations and marginalization with my new added website at http://www.myshorttakes.com

Please visit the site – and more here –

As some of you may know, I was a Columnist for The Oman Daily Observer for the past 13 years until November 2013 when my two columns – with a legal enforceable contract signed by both parties for two columns on a continued basis – unless one rescinded in writing and giving one month notice period – was abruptly cut to one article only.

When I complained, the new man in charge – fellow Omani National – asked me to write a story with Omani theme for their new magazine Weekend – which I did – but they replied it ‘was not suitable for their requirements`! I found it only missing the next day in the magazine. I wrote and called but no one answered.

See the article here –

http://myshorttakes.com/2014/03/03/short-story-no-money-for-the-crayons/

Before that for more than 6 months they did not pay me for my articles . When I complained my emails were blocked by the top guy (also Omani National)! Eventually and belatedly they paid me! Because at one time I had quit because of ‘late payments’ but was persuaded to come back because the same new man promised you will be paid – which they did – eventually 6 months later and even here periodically!

I was given an email ultimatum of only one column – or not at all! I chose the later – that is why you do not see my columns anymore now! The Indian Mafias and The Old Guards have won again to kill The Truth guy speaking out again!

Should these things happen in Oman from a Government run paper? You be the Judge!

And yes I am also Author of 10 books www.myownmajid.com I had to beg them to cover my books for the new ones even The Road Safety Ones www.bethesafedriver.com though Muscat Daily easily covered my books on a public interest as Omani Author! Do I need to say more? Sad!!

The books they cover are from VIPs and outsiders – and picture books or children books – but no serious stuff like mine that makes you think! They can even cover Malala – but not their own!

Is this a National Policy? Even the CIA looks after itself! Yet we see live how a school graffiti destroyed a whole nation – but yet we do not see or hear! Or allow people to speak! And yes – No one is afraid anymore!

If this can happen to an Omani National Senior Professional I dread to think what would happen to the younger ones in other media  places! Very scary even to think about it!

The Big Question – Should a Government National Newspaper be run this way get involved – because these things have been known to effect us all in one way or the other – See The Mouse Trap Story!

The Mouse Trap story

I just had to share this one with you all!

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain? The mouse wondered – he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, ‘Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me.” I cannot be bothered by it.’ The mouse turned to the pig and told him, ‘There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!’

The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. ‘Be assured you are in my prayers.’ The mouse turned to the cow and said ‘There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!’
The cow said, ‘Wow, Mr. Mouse. I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.’
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house — like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.

But his wife’s sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.  So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember — when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

Yesterday night a group of us good getting together friends were having a meal at this Arabian Restaurant in Ghobrah and the subject starting moved to your columns articles. And your call about more Omanis to be needed represented in the especially English press and media as it is now being controlling and dominated by Indian people mainly and also some British peoples.

You also called for more stronger quality powering Omani Managers in the Press and media. Believe me Sir that people mistake us to be not knowing and not smart people and they can fool and play with us. But if they cannot learn than they will never learn in future. We are not stupid peoples. We aware and knowing too.

So Ustaadh please rest now. You have said it but they ignore you and not listen. You have done your job and duty as few Omanis that really care and feel. You take rest because you are now done and take rest Sir. Look after family only now.

What Women Do Not Say!

Domestic Violence!

  • Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent! – Isaac Asimov
  • Never let a man put his hands on you without your permission! – Melda Beatty

In my role as a Human Resources Professional – I have met many cases of victims of domestic violence – to an extent that if I were planning for a 11th book to be authored by me in this my line of books – it could be a topic by itself! Though frankly speaking my last book – Wipe My Tears! – has many articles of battered wives and on domestic violence. Even the front cover has a photo of a very pretty girl – but still yet crying!

Front Wipe My Tears

www.myownmajid.com

The most tragic and sad part out of it all trying to justify why she had become the victim – for example he lost his job – his business is not doing well – or other such things! Yet still she will pretend that she is wearing the big sunglasses because ‘she banged her face on a car door’ etc – but does not want to show her scaled and wounded face – and body by heavy clothing!

People always ask me ‘why you do not drink?’ – is it because of the Religion? And I always strive to answer not to offend anyone from both camps – those who do – to be social! – and those who do not! The last group do not want to sit with anyone who drinks – but for I – there are no issues to sit with those that do – whilst I drink my own poison of sodas – or if possible fresh juices! That is until the abusive jokes start to fly – and I quit gracefully – before things get any more out of place and control in insults and affronts!

DV 3DV 2

Images – Domestic Violence – For Demonstration Purposes Only!

The real reason I do not drink ever in my life is as a young boy getting this beating of my life from a relative who was so drunk and out of his mind – very abusive and aggressive after a few drinks – that he mistakenly thought I was his son – because we were playing together in football! His wives used to run away from home as soon as the call went out that he was now returning home from the bars!

Like we Arabs like to say – from the stomach of evil came good tidings – or the silver lining in the storm clouds! I made a vow to myself that I will never ever drink in my life – promotion or not – or asked to leave the company in my new job – because it started with my refusing to hold up in cheers a glass of wine – though I was ready to do so – if my favourite Sprite soda was in the glass – thus going half-way up to be modern and social!

Far later in my career life in HR – I came to realise which female staff to avoid for the day who came to the office as victim. Being victim did not necessarily mean being beaten and battered – but some husbands and fathers were equally good in using cruel hurting painful words as their tools – instead of the hands. The mouth was equally hurtful – if not more in some cases! But what if it is the husband – with the children – instead are the victims? Points to ponder in real life!

A few days back I watched this television melodrama – Soapbox Mexico – Vicky’s StoryEmotions run high as a sexually abused woman who freed herself thanks to the soap opera has her story turned into an episode. Planning a special programme for the upcoming 13 anniversary of the soap, executive producer Alicia asks scriptwriter Araceli to find a case of a woman who has suffered abuse, and recovered, thanks to the programme’s message. Vicky comes forward, and Araceli adapts her story for the programme. In a deeply emotional demonstration of the back-and-forth between reality and fiction,

Vicky’s real story is played out on set. Her years of sexual abuse at the hands of a violent husband form the central theme of the episode and arguably reflect real life in Mexico where two out of every three women suffer abuse. Vicky saved herself because she called a helpline advertised at the end of What Women Don’t Say. The theme of speaking out and of breaking silence is very clearly and powerfully real ised, as Vicky makes an emotional visit to the set to watch the last scenes of her story being filmed. Another famous series is the Turkish one titled Kismet produced from Turkish women writers’ contributions from real life true stories and incidents.

Yet another series that I really liked to watch is Desperate Housewives! It is an American television comedy-drama-mystery series. The show followed the lives of a group of women as seen through the eyes of a dead neighbour who committed suicide in the very first episode. The storyline covers thirteen years of the women’s lives over eight seasons, set between the years 2004–2008, and later 2013–2017 (the story arc included a 5 year passage of time). They worked through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their — at the surface — beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood.

As a Writer, Author and Columnist – I get many emails from my lady fans about their family issues – and many border actual physical abuse – let alone of verbal words – which are more common. There is a famous East Africa expression that goes like this – The real man comes out when he (suddenly!) becomes rich – and the woman when her husband has become poor, needy and dispossessed!

Some of the cases are so unbelievable – that the other day in a social occasion a prominent and famous person was asking me why I was looking intensely and staring at him – in slipping up in my thoughts! It is really shocking some of the cases – but as I had pledged confidence – sorry I am not telling – at least for now!

Apart from the devastations caused by typhoon Haiyan in especially Philippines – it was very interesting to watch the headline news in three different newspapers on the same day – and each one with different priority of what was meant for the headline side! Perhaps coupled with different focuses – and perhaps with view of their usual main Readers – and possibly I would not discount the way things are going nowadays of ‘their (hidden) agendas’ even!

Then we have some of the columnists who have not made a decision yet of which side to support – and move between sides as they go on – perhaps in trying to please everyone – and in the end perhaps none – as is the usual case! In one of the newspapers – they were saying why Oman is amongst the highest liked place by expatriates living in the countries – and according to the researched study index! They gave break downs and comparisons of the other places in the conducted research works down.

I guess anything good news for the country must go in capital headline news – but I am not too sure – seeing the other bits and pieces that do make their way sometimes – and it makes you think aloud of what is going on! If you will excuse the scepticism and cynicism!

In the other newspaper a great worry and concern is expressed why the young Omanis are still not interested in Private Sector jobs – and the continued rising trend of increasing lots of leaving their jobs for the preferred Public Sector jobs – or even just go without! This last part is really worrisome and scary – especially with the added bit of many of them being terminated for one reason or the other! The reasons are not explicitly given – and neither are the possible solutions to the crisis!

It reminds me of a long time ago British boss who told me point blank and without mincing his words – do not come to me with a problem – unless you have three solutions at least – and at least one is plausible and workable! He did not realise with whom he was dealing with at the time – because I gently reminded him that the problem was carefully analysed and researched by me – and could he please reread his emails? With the retort – I am quite busy now – and will eventually do so!

At least my conscience goes clear that I did my required job part in highlighting live the situation – and the rest is not up to me then! And whenever I did say this – it got them working hard – whether they liked it or not – because as the label went ‘he is the barometer of what is going on’ – and we do need not to ignore him – and our loss only!

That is how I became infamous popular – but if you have read my columns and books – I have blown my trumpet there many times before!

Especially in my Arab Management books Psychology of Arab Management Thinking! and A Cry For Help! – http://www.myownmajid.com. As aforementioned – I feel I have done my part as a loyal and faithful citizen – with great concerns, worries and priorities to see things ‘do not go’ wrong – and if they have – what to do about them! Anyway and as in many cases – I hate saying ‘I told you so!’

*** In one of the places that I had worked some time ago – this top personality was telling me this – Please open your eyes – and see! This after calling me to his place to put me in my place – because of highlighting situations that ‘it was more them that did not see – but anyway, that is another story for now! Only I learnt far later – that he had actually prepared a Termination Letter for me that day – but he was at least receptive when I told him what I had to say – and appealing to his conscience of ‘us both being citizens of the land – and for the sake of our children – and their children’s future!

I was also watching this programme in Al Jazeera Television of Inside Syria – and how each adversaries kept to their lines and stories – and each one believed he was completely right – and the other one completely wrong! Nothing has changed much – we still do the very same – and still have not learnt our lessons in life – and the teachings of mistakes and in history – even if we see live the disasters and devastations man-made – and even in typhoon Haiyan etc. Will we wake up and see?

The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people – Napoleon
